Ten on a List (File Folder Center)

This "Take It to Your Seat" writing center directs students to write a list of ten things that fit into a category (i.e., 10 things I'd buy if I had $100). Students then choose one item from the list and explain why it is the most important. The unit includes teacher/student directions, cover sheet, category task cards, and activity sheet.
