When I print a unit on a Mac, all I see are blank pages. What should I do?

If you click on the Print button and the page is blank, you will need to reconfigure your browser to open PDF files in Adobe Reader. Please read the following (you may also visit Adobe's Web site for more information):

Repair the Acrobat Plug-in

  1. Find the Adobe PDFViewer.plugin file in the following folder: Macintosh HD> Library> Internet Plug-Ins.
  2. Remove the Adobe PDFViewer.plugin from this folder.
  3. In Adobe Reader, select Help > Detect And Repair and choose Adobe PDFViewer.

Safari Users
Adobe recommends Mac OS X version 10.3.4 and later, and Safari version 1.2.3 (which comes with Mac OS X v10.3.5) and later. Adobe Reader browser components are not installed on Mac OS X v10.2.8, even though Adobe Reader 7.0 supports that version of the operating system. Reader does not support viewing PDF files within other browsers, such as Internet Explorer, on Mac OS X.

If you have an older version of Safari:

  1. Completely remove the old version of Safari. To do so, find Safari in the following folder: Macintosh HD> Applications> Safari.
  2. Remove it from this folder.
  3. Install the latest version of Safari: http://www.apple.com/safari/

If you are running an older browser and cannot follow Adobe's recommendations:

  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. From the View menu, choose QuickTime.
  3. Click on the Plug-In tab.
  4. Click on MIME settings.
  5. Click on the disclosure triangle next to Images - Still image files.
  6. Click on the checkbox by PDF Image to deselect it.
  7. Click on OK.

If the PDF is still opening in Preview, reconfigure PDFs to open in Adobe Reader:

  1. Control-click on any PDF and choose Open with...
  2. Select Adobe Reader from the menu list.
  3. Click on OK.
